Hyundai i20 is a subcompact car, the model is designed by Thomas Burekle at Hyundai designing center, Germany. Thomas Burekle is a designer of BMW models. Hyundai i20 debuted in 2008 October at Paris Motor Show and sale started on 2008 December. This front wheel drive car is a model between i10 and i30. Hyundai i20 is available as three and five doors, but in India it is available only as a five door hatchback car. Hyundai i20 production takes place both in Hyundai Turkey Izmit plant and Chennai India plant. The Izmit plant i20 is supplied to European market and Indian plant i20 is supplied to Oceania and Asian markets. Since Hyundai Getz is built and sold in Korea, the i20 it is not sold in Korea. Hyundai i20 has unique new platform that make it extremely spirited super-hatchback car. Compared to older Hyundai i20, the new model comes with better interior space, ensures to give more mileage and the refreshed new look. Hyundai Suzuki ATV i20 variants are 15 in number in India, with petrol and diesel engine variants with manual and automatic transmissions with price range of 4.5 lacs and 8.5 lacs.

Engine & Specifications

The petrol version comes with 1197 petrol engine that has a capacity to give the mileage of 12.5 kmpl and its diesel version comes with 1396 cc diesel engine, which has the capacity to give the mileage of 14 kmpl. 1.4LCRDi diesel engine with 16-valve has the capacity to produce maximum torque of 220 Nm and the 1.2 L petrol engine has the capacity to produce 80bhp maximum power and 112Nm maximum torque.
