I bought two sets of these bags and I am really happy with them. I didn’t know about the front drop down on the side bags, but after using them my wife and I both love the setup. The only problem which is probably true about any bag is that dust gums up the zippers. Once free they move fine. Overall these are great bags.
What’s the best type helmet cam to buy, bullet cam or other, for ATV racing, & what camcorder type is good?
I want to buy a helmet cam for a friend that he can use when he’s riding/racing his dirt bike. I’ve considered bulletcam.com and helmetcam.com and don’t ATV Accessories know which is better. Bullet cams or other types? One says they make them themselves, stabilizing every part and offer quick-release feature; but the other says it offers better camera protection w/ better video than the bullet cams. What line resolution should I get? 380/480/560? What features/accessories are essential? And what kind of camcorder can I get for a decent price that will go with the helmet cam and render good videos? (I know I have to have input capability). Thanks for any help! I’m clueless.

I needed a replacement winch for my snow plow. The old one would not retract. I searched on the type of winch I wanted and to my surprise, the one at Amazon.com popped up and it had a really good price. Shipping was a bit of a problem as they sidetracked me to the point I got frustrated and almost canceled the purchase with an offer which required me to “join”. The product cost me about $10 extra to get shipped in a timely manner, but I went ahead and opted for 2 day shipment. The problem I now have is I get Amazon email offering to sell me a “mounting plate” that had I required it, I would have ordered it. The problem is the mounting plate appears to be generic, have no idea what the plate fits, and generally speaking a winch is a winch for mounting, two holes.
Great Winch for the money, used it on my ATV to raise and lower plow .Well made and easy to install
This is a very nice winch for the price. It was easy to install except that the main power cables were much too short meaning I had to go to the hardware store and buy some connectors and wire. The hook is a little small and the winch is very loud verses a Warn winch but these a small complaints about a otherwise fine winch. For the price I would highly recommend this winch.
This is a great package to get you started with an ATV winch. The winch itself is sufficiently powerful for midsize ATV’s. It comes with everything you need to use the winch. With almost 50′ of cable, there is plenty to get you out of most situations. The line speed is slow, so don’t expect a swift recovery, but it gets the job done. Not really an ideal winch for use as a snowplow lift (also because of the line speed), but it still does a decent job.
The line in/out switch is tactile, and has many mounting options. The power distribution box is a bit bulky, and was kind of a pain to mount inconspicuously. The wires from the power box to the control switch are excessively long for an ATV winch, so hiding them and keeping them out of the way can be a challenge, while the power leads from the box to the winch are almost too short. The included roller fairlead helps keep the winch cable in line while winching in, and helps keep the cable from fraying.
All in all, this is a great winch, especially for the price. If you find yourself using a winch very frequently and at higher loads, then this might not be the winch for you. But with the use of a snatch block this winch is more than capable of getting most ATV’s out of the mud, and for the most part a snatch block isn’t needed.
This adapter is perfect for my cell-phone recharge wire. I use my Nokia E71X AT&T Navigator GPS when I ride cross country. Very convenient is the adapter’s end fixture that plugs into my Battery Buddy recharge wire, which I keep attached to my bike’s battery. The only complaint I have is the internal wiring in the molded rubber plug fixture has a loose connection and the connection to the battery is intermittently broken with engine and road vibration. I haven’t tried replacing it on warranty as I’m always using the adapter.
Product seems very cheap. You had to twist and turn the plug for whatever you plugged in there to get a good connection, which means that the connection gets “severed” if there’s too much vibration. The 2-prong plug in the middle of the wire that connects the socket to the battery was just terrible. In order for that to stick together, I had to wrap the connectors with really strong tape. Get the Roadpro instead…
Received the EKLIPES motorcycle GPS adapter. Mounted it on my bike. Tried to use the waterproof cover attached to the adapter and found it was TOO BIG to fit in the adapter… How in blazes do they sell something like that? Had to use my dremel to grind the cover down to size to fit. The only word that comes to mind is “incompetance”. How does something like that get by product developemnent and product testing? Oh I know, THEY DON’T HAVE ANY!
Needless to say, I don’t recommend this product… unless you’ve got your dremel handy.
I don’t store my wheeler in a garage and I plow my driveway with it all winter (Northern New Hampshire winter). This cabin has tubular steel supports across the roof so it deals with heavy snow fall quite well. The visibility is great, I actually left the cabin on all summer and just rolled the doors and front flaps back. If you plow with your wheeler you know it’s not the cold but the wind+cold that will chill you. Before this cabin I was in my full cold weather gear just to plow, sort of took the fun out of it – now I wear a mid-weight fleece, regular gloves and a hat and I’m comfortable on even the coldest nights.
oh, the first cabin I got leaked. I emailed the manuf and they sent a brand new one without any trouble or delay. awesome.
this is for a full size atv, on a 350 rancher a little reinventing is needed. when first assembled the inside is huge, wouldnt fit thru garage door 7 ft. it covers both racks so smaller is better. the quality of materials i rate a four, only because one pole had to be forced into place. material and zippers seem heavy duty, ok. instructions are good for me, dont really need.i am making it smaller and giving it a better fit around the front of the atv so the wind doesnt blow right thru it. my advice is put it together on the ground first, and when you see what you got put it on. i used clamps to hold it temporarily so i can make measurements and so on. when i get thru it will fit great. i use it for plowing( front side rear visibility is great, th reason i chose it). and ice fishing so the leg area will need to be covered at least on one side. i bought a cheap 100 cabin last time and it broke, for good. so i guess for the price its a good deal and ok fit. if you buy it expect some reinventing if your picky, like me. im gonna make it easier to come off by adding some swivel hardware to fold it and some hand knobs, brackets to hold it in place, it uses u bolts. the frame is about the size of 3/4 conduit, fyi. i like being warm when i ride, i think its worth it.
Had a set of these and bought another set to use in Michigan at Christmas time on 4 wheelers.
It was 19 deg. while we were riding and we only had to use light gloves.
If you didn’t have these on your quad you needed heavy gloves or your fingers froze. Only issue with them is the opening to get hands in is too small with winter clothing.
I was pleased with rack bag when I received it. The price was very good and the quality was also good.
This is a great product! And if you’ve checked the official Honda or other ATV makers they want twice as much money. It has a ton of room in it, stays on nice and securely. We pack the cooler and it stays in place and keeps the drinks nice and cold. Highly recommend!!
Net is of excellent quality. Very durable material and strong hooks. I wish it were a little bigger for a large bag I have, but definitely not a knock on this product.
I purchased this cargo net with the hopes that it would fit under my rolling walker to suspend and hold by portable toilet seat (most stores have handicapped stalls, but very low seat height). Putting the toilet riser in the walker basket was one solution, but then it took up the space for groceries, and the space under the walker seat was going to waste. So, after much searching, I found this small cargo net. It’s PERFECT! I only have to unhook one corner hook to slip the seat out. Now I can use the facilities anywhere I go!
For years, I’ve just used bungee cords to tie down that jacket that was needed on a cool morning but not in the heat of the day. This is also very handy for those occasions as well as the odd grocery items that just won’t fit in the saddle bags. There are bigger ones listed, but this size is just about right. If you need a bigger one, maybe you should leave the kitchen sink at home. The hooks are plastic coated and just like bungee hooks. A useful item that packs small.
John
I needed a bungee web for lashing down a 55 litre dry bag onto my motorcycle. This web works perfect for that and expands as I stuff more things into my dry bag. The web is quality made with decent size hooks that have rubber tips to protect the finish on my bike. I’ve used the bungee web on several trips and it’s kept my dry bag in place everytime. This probably wouldn’t work well on a car – it’s a bit small for that. The web is good for ATVs and motorcycles. The photo with the ATV make the web look bigger than it is – or the photographer stretched it out to it’s maximum capacity. I thought it might be too big but actually it was perfect size.
