estimate on atv parts?
hi, my friend and i were in my woods/backyard and my friend spotted a quad that had looked like it had been outside for weeks. him and his friend began pushing it down a hill and then i did too. then he wanted to hot-wire it. He used my tools and carved the seat open and the side of the plastic things that cover the top of the wheels to say mine now with a utility knife. I took off the part that goes around thing that tells you your mileage on the quad. he cut the ignition part where you put the key in and turn it, leaving it ATV Parts Magazine useless. All i did was push the ATV and take that part. so after two weeks of it being there the person that owns it finds it and tells my friend who tells him my name and number because i had told him about it before. His dad calls me (the kid is a senior in high school) saying the vehicle was stolen and vandalized. So i said my friend did most of the damage. All i did was push it and take off the receiver that is around the meter which was broken anyway. Now he wants me to pay for the damages and split the amount of pay with my friend which is totally unfair considering i didn’t do anything. I need an estimate, for a Yamaha grizzly 600 that looks like its pretty old, but like i said i need an estimate on how much the parts would be. my mom said if she(meaning me) has to pay(with my money) more than 500 dollars that i am in big trouble. PLEASE HELP ME!! i NEED an estimate because i still have to push that damn quad uphill with my friend to back where we found it so this kids dad can bring it to a place to get it fixed and get an estimate on how much that all will cost. thank you very much

Cover fits very nice over my Yamaha 350 4-Wheeler. The only thing I don’t like about it is you cannot roll the 4-wheeler once it is covered because the cover goes around the tires. The cover gets caught under the ATV if you move it. If you want to move it from place to place, you must remove the cover.

I bought three of these for my Kawasaki 4×4 300 ATV’s and so far have been pleased with the fit and quality. I have had them for about 5 months and they seem to hold up well. They are not 100% water proof but still work fine. I just had one blow off and need to reorder an extra one. But for the price, they are a good value.

This pack is truly fantastic. And even better the price is by far the best I have seen. Quality construction. I bought one, and then bought another. I guarantee you will like it. What you won’t like is the slow shipping and no real time tracking. Quadboy

Better than I expected for the price. Nice accessory for the 4 wheeler. When more are in stock I need 2 more. Typical great service from Amazon.

This is a really good saddlebag for ATVs. I put it on a Honda 250 utility ATV and it fit great. You unscrew the gas cap and stick it over the filler neck, and then put the cap on. It holds it on. Plus it comes with some velcro to keep the sides from bouncing out. The pockets are very roomy. I put my phone, GPS unit, camera, all that stuff in their. My girlfriend puts her watch and small purse inside so She doesn’t have to leave them in the car. It also has a water bottle holder with a drawstring on it witch is pretty handy. I like having this. I don’t need a big rack pack, don’t have that much stuff to bring along, so this is great.

Received the EKLIPES motorcycle GPS adapter. Mounted it on my bike. Tried to use the waterproof cover attached to the adapter and found it was TOO BIG to fit in the adapter… How in blazes do they sell something like that? Had to use my dremel to grind the cover down to size to fit. The only word that comes to mind is “incompetance”. How does something like that get by product developemnent and product testing? Oh I know, THEY DON’T HAVE ANY!

Needless to say, I don’t recommend this product… unless you’ve got your dremel handy.

This adapter is perfect for my cell-phone recharge wire. I use my Nokia E71X AT&T Navigator GPS when I ride cross country. Very convenient is the adapter’s end fixture that plugs into my Battery Buddy recharge wire, which I keep attached to my bike’s battery. The only complaint I have is the internal wiring in the molded rubber plug fixture has a loose connection and the connection to the battery is intermittently broken with engine and road vibration. I haven’t tried replacing it on warranty as I’m always using the adapter.

  • Albright says:

Product seems very cheap. You had to twist and turn the plug for whatever you plugged in there to get a good connection, which means that the connection gets “severed” if there’s too much vibration. The 2-prong plug in the middle of the wire that connects the socket to the battery was just terrible. In order for that to stick together, I had to wrap the connectors with really strong tape. Get the Roadpro instead…

Great Winch for the money, used it on my ATV to raise and lower plow .Well made and easy to install

  • Gooch says:

This is a great package to get you started with an ATV winch. The winch itself is sufficiently powerful for midsize ATV’s. It comes with everything you need to use the winch. With almost 50′ of cable, there is plenty to get you out of most situations. The line speed is slow, so don’t expect a swift recovery, but it gets the job done. Not really an ideal winch for use as a snowplow lift (also because of the line speed), but it still does a decent job.

The line in/out switch is tactile, and has many mounting options. The power distribution box is a bit bulky, and was kind of a pain to mount inconspicuously. The wires from the power box to the control switch are excessively long for an ATV winch, so hiding them and keeping them out of the way can be a challenge, while the power leads from the box to the winch are almost too short. The included roller fairlead helps keep the winch cable in line while winching in, and helps keep the cable from fraying.

All in all, this is a great winch, especially for the price. If you find yourself using a winch very frequently and at higher loads, then this might not be the winch for you. But with the use of a snatch block this winch is more than capable of getting most ATV’s out of the mud, and for the most part a snatch block isn’t needed.

I needed a replacement winch for my snow plow. The old one would not retract. I searched on the type of winch I wanted and to my surprise, the one at Amazon.com popped up and it had a really good price. Shipping was a bit of a problem as they sidetracked me to the point I got frustrated and almost canceled the purchase with an offer which required me to “join”. The product cost me about $10 extra to get shipped in a timely manner, but I went ahead and opted for 2 day shipment. The problem I now have is I get Amazon email offering to sell me a “mounting plate” that had I required it, I would have ordered it. The problem is the mounting plate appears to be generic, have no idea what the plate fits, and generally speaking a winch is a winch for mounting, two holes.

This is a very nice winch for the price. It was easy to install except that the main power cables were much too short meaning I had to go to the hardware store and buy some connectors and wire. The hook is a little small and the winch is very loud verses a Warn winch but these a small complaints about a otherwise fine winch. For the price I would highly recommend this winch.
